Sigma Psi Zeta, established at over 40 universities and colleges, is seeking proactive and ambitious leaders who are interested in joining our SYZterhood at existing chapters/charters or in bringing the sorority to new campuses. We are one of the fastest growing multicultural sororities in the country, expanding our size by 41% over the last ten years.
Our recruitment process is exclusively designed in order to provide you the opportunity to learn about who we are, what we do, and what we stand for. All of our recruitment events during this process are free and open to all ladies who are interested in our sorority. Our goal during the two weeks of recruitment is simply to help you get know us, and for us to get to know you. Therefore, our recruitment period is non-binding, meaning you will never be required to join if you attend, and we encourage you to venture into all other opportunities offered on our campus during this time.

Recruitment
We believe in the potential of our current and prospective members. We believe the womxn of this organization can and will achieve great things. They will contribute to their chapters and charters at a local and national level, to their local universities and communities, and to everyone they come to know.
Our SYZterhood does not require any womxn to fit into a mold. Rather, we recognize our differences are what enhance and enrich our SYZterhood. We do not seek the “perfect SYZter” as we cannot and have not tried to define her. Our SYZters define themselves through their personal stories and the ways their unique contributions elevate our sorority. Our organization celebrates the individuality of thought in all the womxn who wear our letters.
Recruitment week allows attendees to familiarize themselves with the sisters and fundamental beliefs of our sorority. Recruitment events are FREE and there is NO obligation to join, so any interested students are welcome to come out to our events. We host a variety of events throughout the week (from social to educational) to help potential new members determine their perfect fit.
To be eligible for a bid, you must attend at least 1 general interest meeting (GIM) and 2 other events.
